Customer Reviews

Extremely Disappointed with the Service Provided by Legal Aid Our experience with Legal aid - especially the Ermelo branch, has been nothing short of frustrating. After our client passed away, the family approached legal aid for assistance with the executorship letter. Legal aid was appointed as the executor, and that’s where the issues began. It’s been almost 4 months since we received the funds for our late client, and we still do not have the estate's late bank details from legal aid. Despite multiple requests, they have failed to provide the necessary information or updates. Instead, we continue to be asked for a final statement, even though we have repeatedly explained that this is not possible at this stage. In good faith, we have provided a letter outlining the expected amount to be paid, but it’s disappointing to be met with delays and a lack of communication. At this point, we are extremely dissatisfied with the service and feel that the family is being treated unfairly during an already difficult time. If you're considering using their services, be prepared for frustrating delays, lack of communication, and an overall lack of professionalism. We expected much more, especially given the sensitive nature of the situation. Unfortunately, this experience has left us with a very negative impression.

I was really shocked at the aggressive attitude of the agent. I was in tears through frustration and despair. The agent told me to stop feeling sorry for myself. When I asked him what he meant by the comment, he told me I must stop crying for myself. What calibre of people do they employ there? My tears were not for me. They were out of frustration at the situation my daughter is in.

We would like to inform you that we are still waiting for the attorney to come consult in preparation for the case. Everything is put on hold (struck off the roll) due to legal representation. (Justice favours the rich). The paralegal guy that does prison visits to complete forms has now done this 3 times with no consultation. To put it simply; no attorney from your office has done a legal visit in prison. We have been deprived the right to appeal the court decision. He eventually resorted to utilizing the services of a private attorney which was not affordable and this is the reason the appeal has came to a complete halt. Your landlines hasn't worked for 3 months. If you don't believe me then please call your Johannesburg office to see how the public struggles to secure justice. If you ever get Mr Musa Chauke as your attorney(usually stationed at Booysens Court 1) RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! The lawyer will literally get you a very high sentence

They take long to deal with your matter. Been calling for weeks so that I can meet with a lawyer to help prepare for my court date today but still nothing. They kept promising that they will get back to me
