The grounds and facilities are awesome. One of the better off leash parks EVER.

What was not acceptable is the restaurant taking our order and ONE HOUR later only informing us that they ran out of stock. Waitress wanted to know if we’d like something else. Hmmmm . No. We left.

Love this place so much! It is amazing to get out for the day and get some excersise, good lunch and amazing scenery. Walkhaven is great for the fur babies to socialize and burn off energy. Prices are great from entry to the restaurant and lovely market stalls.

If you are a dog lover who is looking for a place to take your 4-legged bestie, the Walkhaven is the place for you. Wide open space for them to run and 2 beautiful ponds for them to take a dip in. Lovey picnic places for the doggy parents to chill and braai. There is a restaurant that caters for breakfast or lunch and has a doggy menu too. There is also a market to buy doggy stuff as well. A very well-kept establishment. I was super impressed.

This place is beautiful – it’s a lovely place to spend the day with your dog. The doggos are all very social and friendly.

I take my bichones on Sunday mornings, I have some coffee at the restuaraunt on the property, your dogs can join you at the restaurant. They also have a option on the menu for dogs.

Your dogs can swim – there is also an area where your dog can get washed for a small fee.
It’s also nice for picnics and braais.

There is an entry fee of R45 for a human, not sure about little humans, but doggos come free.

There is also a separate area for bigger dogs that’s away from smaller dogs.

Highly recommend

Edit: there is a gravel road before the park. It’s rather terrible to drive with a non 4×4 car, wish the owner could either fix it up a bit or pave it. I checked the lot on a busy day, and it mainly compromised of hatch backs and sedans, who all most likely had issue with the gravel. If the owner reads this, please consider atleast fixing it up a bit it a smoothet ride.

Our fur babies love walkheaven, it’s the one place they can be free and have fun … We travel all the way from Alberton just to enjoy the park

The food is amazing, and at responable pricing, the facilities are clean and neat, lots of flea market stalls to browse through, and you are welcome to have a picnic , Ample seatings at certain spots .

This is honestly the only place I would send my furchild to. After searching everywhere for the perfect place for training- the vet recommended the dog club.

Pepper went for basic obedience training. It was one month, once a week. And it was very low cost. Because Pepper is a toy breed, they are known to be difficult to train. But this was no challenge for Julie, Janneque and the team. The training has been so effective that people are still impressed with Peppers obedience!

Shortly after I began to send Pepper for grooming and daycare. She always comes back looking amazing with no complications.

Honestly the only place I would trust with her now.

Would 100% recommend all that The Dog Club has to offer.

The Dog Club is a palace for my fur kids. A one stop shop for all your pooches needs with amazing employees who foster such loving bonds with the animals they work with. My Schnauzer gets groomed at the Randhart branch and not only do I love it but everyone asks and knows when he’s had a fresh cut.

Can’t find anything bad to say about the great service I’ve had consistently over the last 2 years.

Vet is an expert, experienced and knowledgeable. Paid huge rates to help puppy with severe allergy and for a quarter of the price got correct diagnosis and excellent support and advice. I cant recommend enough. Sara, Morningside.

They charged me R2400 to treat a wound on my cats paw and for an enquiry about my cats pupil being bigger than the other.

I opened his bandage a few days later. The female doctor that’s there cut off his entire nails from the bare root away from the injured area(no wonder he was screaming his guts out when they took him in the back. He was completely calm in the front with the both of us there)

Read the other reviews and saw that other pet owners complained about the nail being cut too short and bleeding. Now I’m assured they mistreat animals (just the lady vet. The guy is great)

She did not shave his paw as she said she was and I’m not sure if she just threw on some bandages without using an ointment or proper treatment as his paw looked the same colour and had dried blood from before she bandaged him when we opened his bandages and was added onto my invoice.

Furthermore she bandaged his arm in such an awkward angle (almost 45 degrees) and it was so tight that we were forced to remove it off and the upper part of his arm was red to a point were there were specs of blood on his perfectly normal arm

The white guy that’s there was very good with my babies. The female one is always rude to my family and charges a leg and an arm and takes it out on your animal when they moan.

Once she was done with my cat she gave him a small pat on the head whereas when we first went in she was completely unfriendly with him. I suspect that was because she knew what she did at the back. Looking for a contact number to report her.

On the 27th July 2024 we took our 10kg maltese mix for a grooming. The lady that came out front to get him put on a thin dirty leash around his neck. I told her that he pulls and will choke on that leash. She insisted it was fine and had us remove his body brace. I was still nervous but allowed it. She dragged him through a dingy passageway not realizing i was following her. My dog was digging his heels in and she just kept dragging him by the neck. When she noticed that i followed she rudely told us to leave. Even after explaining that he has severe anxiety and would be calmer with one of us present. We groomed him in Fourways for the past 3 years and have never been refused just because one parent needed to be present. She refused us the service and we had to leave. This is the first vet that i found treats animals so poorly. I would never support them even if they paid me too let alone leave my baby alone with them.

My babies (Boerboel & PitTerrier) are Comfortable and Enjoy being groomed. The price is very reasonable. The staff is warm, caring and professional.

They make you feel welcome. Melvin is very professional and knowledgeable, honest and a fair man. When we go to him my pups can’t wait to get inside to see him. He has a great connection with them and he always warns me that I will get an injection if I give them titbits and not there food. Also great staff.

They have taken care of our fur baby, Penny for the past month and we couldn’t be happier. They send updates, which include pictures to let us know she is doing well! It’s not easy being apart from your pet and we were concerned Penny would struggle being away from us, but she has been having the best time, and that’s because of the time and care Kaitlin & Sergio put into caring for her.

Pawfect Pet Care provides excellent care! I highly recommend Kaitlin & Sergio to look after your fur babies. I used Pawfect Care for close to 3 weeks to look after my dog, Josie while travelling internationally. Being an anxious dog, I was concerned that it would be difficult for Josie to be away from family for so long and adjust in an unfamiliar environment, around new dogs.

In the end, it was amazing and Josie really enjoyed her time with the Pawfect team and her new buddies.

My family and I went on holiday for over two weeks, it was quite challenge to find a comfortable space for our Pekingese. After a lot of research, I came across Pawfect Pet Care and started chatting to the lovely Kaitlin. Kaitlin is a beautiful soul who truly loves doing her best to be there for you and your fur baby.

Our dog had never been in a social setting before, I was concerned about her, Kaitlin suggested to do trail days, in those days our dog became a socialite. It was decided to enrol her to be looked after, she definitely was.

Kaitlin and Sergio made constant efforts to communicate, send pictures, and groom her whilst we were away. It was so comforting for us to have people who were amazing to our fluffy baby, she definitely loved her time there. I highly recommend there services, it is truly one of a kind and such a good way for your fur baby to become social and loved beyond measure. Thank you for everything!

Second home from home lovely gentle staff they really take good care of my fur baby when she wasn’t feeling well.

My doggie loves it here. It’s her first time going to day care, and has been with Tracy at the front desk since 4 months old. Jessie loves Mr T, David, Kingsley and all of the other staff. They take good care of her, and I have to drag her out at the end of the day. Thank you Club Street for being the best.

My husky Pepper was well taken care of. The staff was friendly and understanding when I needed to extend Peppers stay for an extra 2 days. Very grateful

I would definitely NOT recommend this place for your cats. I went on holiday and left my cats here for 7 days, when I got back to fetch them (2 days earlier) my cats were sneezing and severely ill with Sinusitis because they socialised my cats when on the application form I clearly stated I do not want my cats socialised. I am not pleased with the manager’s feedback to me either.

Absolutely fantastic place. It really is a home away from your home for your fury children! The staff are beyond knowledgeable and so good to each and every dog. Don’t hesitate to use this amazing company.

Zeus always comes back home looking and smelling amazing. The Lucky Dogs team make me feel that Zeus is so welcome and is at his second home. I know they treat my fur baby as if he was their own and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with him. The best parlour ever. You won’t go wrong.

Having recently moved to South Africa with our dog, we were recommended Badhams by a close friend. After a quick enquiry and phone conversation, we completed a simple registration process and took Bella for a trial day care session.
She absolutely loved her time there and has since been for boarding as well as regular day care sessions.
The team are brilliant, all are incredibly passionate about animals
and this is very evident in the happy pets they are looking after.
The facilities are fantastic and so much to keep the pets entertained and exercised.

From the first time I visited this place I was pleased. The next time, I dropped my little ones off. When I picked them up, I had to go back inside of the building. My little one got inside of the building before me, that’s how I now they enjoyed themselves. I will be using The Puppy Palace again, especially when I got out of town. The impact Puppy Palace has had on my rescued timid shy dog is amazing, my dog is now more confident than ever because of going there for the past few weeks. The staff and owner are all very friendly and welcoming.

Having used the service prior last year, this year unfortunately was an unpleasant experience. From ineffective and incomplete communication regarding pick up times to an unpleasant groomer who became frustrated that my pup had made a wee in his excitement to sloppy grooming, nails still too long, coat not as shiny. Unfortunately, will no longer be recommending the service or making use of it. Owner proceeded to call and be rude to me for keeping an honest review further proving his inability to take feedback. Really unprofessional service. It is recommended to take your pups elsewhere as a company not willing to take feedback is not one to make use of.

Our Dusty dog has been going to BF Kennels & Cattery since 2018 and he has been looked after as if it was their own pet, the staff are friendly, helpful and respectful, Dusty comes home from BFK happy.

Absolute worst kennels I’ve taken my dog to in the Joburg area. My dog was there over the December holidays and he still looks traumatised. They were dragging him around with the choke chain when I went to fetch him. Not even sure if they fed him while he was there, now when he is at home he is always hungry and behaving badly – trying to jump on counters to get things to eat and also trying to steal foodstuff out of the kids hands while they are eating (he never did these things before.

Will never take my dog back there. My dog has been going to kennels for years (and has probably been to about 8 different ones) and this is the first time I see him like this after a kennel visit. So, definitely the worst kennel I’ve been to in Joburg!
