My cat arrived safely and in good health in South Korea today.
Since My cat is a rescued cat from South Africa that I adopted through a shelter, this was my first time traveling internationally with a cat, so I was very worried — but I'm relieved that he arrived safely.
Once again, I would like to express my sincere gratitude. Most of my colleagues often need to relocate internationally with their pets, such as cats or dogs, every two years, so I plan to highly recommend your company to them.

Traveling to Thailand from South Africa was an extremely stressful time for my husband and I.
We enquired with several agencies, and received several quotes.
Aeropets from the outset advised us that they do not operate in Cape Town due to the logistics. However, after having dealt with the other agencies, we still felt most comfortable with Aeropets, even if they weren't the cheapest (also not the most expensive), and adjusted our plans accordingly so that our 2 Pekingese dogs could fly from Johannesburg as we felt they will be in good hands.
Kirsten assisted us from beginning to end, and ensured us that they will do everything to make this as comfortable and less stressful as possible (she even entertained my crying over the phone).
When we sent our crate measurements, Kirsten immediately noticed that our measurements were out due to the breed and average Pekingese sizes, and sent us instructions on how to better measure our dogs - just another indication that they know what they are doing.
Kirsten always responded timeously to our emails and WhatsApp messages, answered all our questions and concerns, and assisted us with the paperwork by sending pre-completed documents. She liaised with our import agent so that everything would go smoothly on our dogs' arrival in Thailand.
Although, and naturally so, we were still anxious (me mostly), we trusted the process.
Our dogs were collected at the agreed time, we received videos and photos of their short stay at the kennels prior to their departure.
We honestly couldn't have made a better choice of agent, and we highly recommend their services.
Thank you to Kirsten and the rest of the Aeropets team for all your assistance in getting our babies to Thailand safely. We are forever grateful!

While our interaction with Aeropets started off on a very positive level, it unfortunately did not end that way.
At the onset we were provided with very comprehensive information and guided on what to expect with our cat’s move from Johannesburg to Jakarta. The level of detail was really impressive.
However, when it came to the actual trip we found a number of things well below what we expected, definitely far from their tag line ‘First class pet comfort is our priority!’. Three main issues transpired:
1. The first issue is really the lesser of the 3 issues, given that it impacted on us as owners and not our cat, and relates to delayed response time to emails and WhatsApp messages sent. It seems that Aeropets employees may work part-time, as it took a day or two to get response, which in most cases came through at night.
2. Our cat was collected 9 hours before her flight (which already was a trip of 30+ hours, from take-off to landing). When questioning this very early collection, we were told that they also had to collect 3 other pets, so had to collect our cat at the indicated time.
3. The other 3 pets turned out to be another cat and 2 dogs, all transported in the same space in the back of a van. Not only was our cat unsettled by leaving with a stranger, but also had to travel in close proximity to other animals she was not familiar with, adding to her anxiety. As an only pet she is not animal friendly. I thought that this was definitely not in the interest of the pet, but rather to streamline Aeropets’ logistical arrangements, regardless of the impact on the pet. Surely the point of departure should be to minimise the overall travel time?
We received confirmation that out cat had been dropped with airline personnel 6 hours before her flight departed.
The pictures we received (included) from the airport show a clearly anxious cat, which we found really disturbing. It’s a pity that the actual transportation did not meet the standards of the administrative arrangements, and had a negative impact on our cat.
UPDATE:
We were contacted by the owner of Aeropets with a very sincere apology and motivation of the reasons for the early collection, and for transporting different animals in one collection vehicle.
While this is highly appreciated (and indicative that they take note of feedback, which is positive), I still wish we had known this beforehand. We also found out now that the airlines transport pets stacked together on pallets during the flight - I suppose how well animals cope in such a situation will vary from pet to pet, but had we known that we would have seriously reconsidered putting our cat through the trauma of such an international move. In our case, our cat is a single pet and quite anxious, so it would definitely have been traumatic for her to be alongside unknown animals, especially dogs.
In conclusion, it seems that some of the issues that left us uncomfortable are standard practice across pet transporters and airlines and cannot be attributed to Aeropets exclusively. Our recommendation would be that future clients be made aware of all realities involved in moving a pet internationally, the good, the bad and the ugly. People can then make an informed decision regarding what would be in the best interest of their pets.
In light of the response from Aeropets I adjust my rating to 3 stars.

We used AeroPets to bring our two dachshunds over to the Netherlands, if I could give Kirsten and her team 100/10 stars I would. The level of professionalism and care that we received was just outstanding having to fly the fluff faces across the world sounds scary but Kirsten made sure that all our needs were met. No matter how many question or concerns we had, Kirsten always made a way to calm our nerves with the big move! AeroPets took such good care of our fluff faces and kept us updated the whole flight, as well as sharing photos of the pups to keep this paw parent nerves under control. My pups are safe here with us and I couldn’t be happier with the service we have received. I would recommend them over and over again Thank you AeroPets

I haven't seen service this good in a long time. Mikki and the team along with Paws Resort went the extra mile for us and kept us updated on every little detail along the way. They made plans to get our dogs to us in NZ as quickly and effectively as possible even with unforeseen hiccups occuring they still made it possible on the due date. If I could give them 6 stars I would. Thanks Mikki and the Team on an awesome job, appreciate it.
