Dr Esther Rockson - Specialist Obstetrician, Gynaecologist & Aesthetic Gynaecologist

I gave birth on the 21st December 2024 via C-section to my first born daughter. I consulted with Dr Rockson as a transfer from the Northern Cape and she made me feel like I’ve been her patient for the entire pregnancy. I am beyond grateful for the exceptional care I received during my delivery, and I feel compelled to share my experience. Dr. Rockson was truly outstanding in every aspect. From the very beginning, her professionalism and expertise put me at ease, and her friendly, calming demeanor made a world of difference. Throughout the entire process, I felt completely supported and confident in her care. She took the time to answer my questions and ensure I understood everything happening, all while maintaining a reassuring presence that helped me stay calm during such an important and sometimes overwhelming moment. Thanks to Dr. Rockson and her team, my delivery was not only safe but also a positive and memorable experience. I will always be thankful for her compassion and dedication to both my well-being and that of my baby. I highly recommend Dr. Rockson to anyone seeking a compassionate and skilled physician.

Dr Rockson has just got that magic touch! She is so kind, so patient and will move mountains for her patients! I have never felt more comfortable or in safer hands than with Dr. Rockson. She’s always just a message away, and has been so supportive in my journey to conceiving and now with baby in the making. I’ve been with Doc for a number of years now, and “growing up” with Dr. Rockson to the point of my now first time pregnancy, I would not be able to do this with anyone else. I actually love her! Highly highly recommend Dr. Rockson for ALL gynecological needs!

I would first of all say that this rating of 2 stars does not reflect on Dr Rockson's abilities as a doctor or her bedside manner. She is brilliant, friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. That being said, I have been to her a few times over the past 3 years for my screening pap smear. I had no issues with my other 2 visits, but my last one in Feb this year was just not great at all. I made an appointment a few weeks in advance to see the doctor at 10am. She was in her offices when I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment, as I saw her. I was kept waiting for an hour and 20 minutes, without any explanation at all. When the nurse saw me to take my vitals, I asked why there was such a delay and she said, there were not enough rooms to accommodate everyone. This just led me to assume that patients were being overbooked and just had to wait it out. I find this very disappointing and disrespectful to the patients time. If I book an appointment, I would expect to be seen at that time or at least within half an hour of that time and not have to wait for for over an hour and 20 minutes. Other doctors that are at hospitals and on call, have the decency of at least having their staff calling half an hour before your appointment to inform you that the doctor is running late. This really should be implemented at this practice.

My daughter is 2 years old now, I had the best pregnancy and birthing experience all because of her. As much as my birthing experience didn’t go as planned, she helped mr deal with it a lot better. Looking forward to my next birth experience with her. Totally recommend her

Dr. Rockson is an exceptional gynecologist. I recently underwent a myomectomy to remove cysts, and her professionalism, outstanding bedside manner, and keen academic expertise truly set her apart. I highly recommend her for her remarkable skill and compassionate care. Her staff and the staff at the Busamed where she practices go the extra mile.
