Dr Sumesh Padayachee Urologist

Dr Sumesh Padayachee has been treating my husband in the last 6 weeks, and has performed two operations on him in that time. He has been nothing short of exceptional: his professionalism, attention to detail in looking at upstream/ downstream issues and impacts, and his exceptional manner (calm, clear in his communication, empathetic and capable in his diagnosis and indication of what is to follow) are stand out qualities. The outcome of the operations have no doubt been of the very best, because he is at the helm. Having taken additional counsel from fellow practitioners, and ably assisted by another superb specialist (Anaethetist Dr Peter Belasyse-Smith), my husband has been afforded world class medical treatment, and I have been accorded full, open and caring communication throughout. In addition to these fantastic specialists, we have had exceptional service from Dr Sumesh’s practice - Sonja is on top of all the details and nothing is too much trouble. Florence (physiotherapist) is a delight and had my husband laughing throughout his treatment. Netcare Rosebank Hospital is a wonderfully run hospital - with attentive and engaged nursing, and support staff. We are so very grateful for this experience, and for Discovery Health, without which none of the above would be possible.

Dr Padayachee was kind, caring and understanding. He took the time to explain everything patiently to me and always kept me updated on what the next steps are. He is extremely knowledgable and professional in his field and has a fantastic human touch assuring me that all will go well. His staff are also extremely helpful making the admin so much easier.

Dr Padayachee was great. Down to earth person, easy to engage with, explained technical issues in an easy to understand way, and used the latest medical equipment. He shared some important preventative insights which I greatly appreciated. Sharp receptionist and convenient location. I will stay with him.

Dr. Padayachee is an excellent urologist & surgeon. He showed empathy with our situation and communicated all relevant information in detail.
