If I could rate lower than one star I would! Please anyone stay away from this business!! I ordered a couch in Oct after visiting their showroom, they said the couch would be manufactured and delivered in a month but I only received it after two months later after calling and following up MANY times. When the couch eventually arrived, I saw that the workmanship was poor and the design of the couch wasn't the same as what I had ordered. Workmanship included items like the material hanging from the couch and there were square bumps added to the couch which made it bumpy The delivery guy upon delivery spoke to Malik after acknowledging that the couch was not the same and agreed to leave the couch and replace it with the correct one and said that we'd pay the balance of the outstanding amount once the correct couch has been delivered. I had the delivery guy sign the invoice as proof of this- see image .This was in December. Homzy has still not replaced the couch and now they have changed their tune saying that they will not replace the couch. Have been trying to get ahold of Malik to understand what is going on but he does not respond to calls or messages. Also emails and calls to their support centre have been ignored

DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THIS PLACE, I REPEAT DO NOT!!!! The showroom in Greenside is a complete lie, they show you furniture they cannot make. I ordered a couch upon visiting the Greenside showroom last year in October 2024 and I was promised a 4 week turn around time which eventually became 6 weeks after I went to complain at their main store in Langlaagte. Eventually a sub standard (poor sponge quality, things hanging underneath the couch and completely different from the image) couch was delivered, I ordered a couch worth R18 000 paid the deposit which is 50%. When they finally delivered and delivery guy acknowledged that the couch is wrong after showing him images of the couch I ordered, he also phoned his manager Malik and we all agreed that I will short pay by R2800 so that they remember to swap the couch for the one I ordered. It’s almost 4 months now and they still haven’t delivered the couch that I ordered, they asked for images and I put together a PDF document clear highlighting the differences, now they are refusing to give me the correct couch based on the fact that I short paid, both me and the driver signed the delivery note and invoice after I clearly stated what was agreed upon. No one is answering my calls and I’m really frustrated. If you want to save yourself the stress DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HOMZY Order #10376

This is one of the worst online shopping experiences. I ordered a couch, it was meant to be delivered in 10-15 working days, it came after 30 working days. The supposed custom made couch was not what I ordered, terrible workmanship. They took it back and said they would fix it, it and that took another 30 working days to deliver. When they delivered it, it was still not what I had ordered so they took it back to fix once again. On the 3rd attempt to deliver, after 2 months this time, they told me it had been damaged. They wasted 4 months with no couch, highly inconvenient. Since they eventually realised it was not going to work they offered the option of a refund. The reason I couldn’t cancel this drama from the onset is because they don’t offer refunds on custom made items. Refund eventually came after 3 months.

This review is more for the deceptive business tactics. I wrote a review a few months ago for the Greenside branch that was unfavourable after ordering a couch from them. The couch was received after a lot of upheaval. I was contacted by the Main Reef branch indicating that I had won some items from them as a previous customer. When I arrived, I quickly realised it was damage control for my bad review and they were hoping I would remove my bad review and write a better one after a few hints. I chose a headboard, chose the fabric and was given a turnaround time of 2-3 weeks. I decided I'd wait until I actually receive my headboard before writing a new review and it's now been over 3 months of empty promises from Malek with no headboard in sight. I don't care that I didn't get a free item that I wasn't waiting for to begin with, it's the fact that they decided to inconvenience me again the way they did with my initial order. I had already promised my current headboard to someone else and almost made arrangements to have it taken which I thankfully didn't. It's really unfortunate that this is how Homzy treats their customers because they have potential. The staff is pleasant and the quality of the final product isn't bad but they will put you through hell with terrible communication and they will inconvenience you with promises of delivery that don't amount to anything. Extremely disappointed.

Came across Homzy while browsing for a couch online. The ladies at the showroom are helpful, friendly and competent. They promised me next day delivery and they did not disappoint. The couch is great and so was the service!
