Customer Reviews
I love this salon so much. The stylist are friendly and need I say how good they are with natural hair. No heat, no pulling, amazing advice on hair care. The space is beautiful with a big waiting area. There's a sign in system at the gate now. It being cashless makes it safer. I really love this salon. The only thing that bothers me is that they never have appointments. And walking in works for those that wfh or don't work during the week. Their whatsapp messages are well managed. Big ups!

I will never set foot here ever again. Their appointment system is nonsensical, they don't do appointments only walk ins till 3 during the week. You rock up way before 3 and they tell you they not sure if they will get to do your hair and if they do they will decide which hairstyle you can do or not do. Learn and take a page from Native Child Natural Hair salon and their booking system.

Location: The salon is situated in Johannesburg Central Business District (CBD) and it has a few individuals who help look after your car while you get your hair done ♀️ ♀️.
Ambiance: Clean, comfy reception area, smells fresh and enough space between the stations for the stylist to move around while they attend to your hair needs. Sometimes they play the radio or music but it's never loud. I really like that I can read while my hair is being twisted and styled. I really enjoy my time at the salon.
Staff: The hair stylists and other staff are mostly very friendly, they are professional and respectful.
Technical Skills: The salon isn't just about making money. The stylists actually care about the state of my hair and sculp. My hairline is preserved and I'm overall pleased with their work. No traction, no alopecia. They actually care for and treat your hair.
I've built a relationship with my stylist (Thembeka), and she's extremely patient with me. I rarely ever know what to do, but she's advised me on styles that would suit me because I opened up the conversation. Since I tend towards the same thing all the time, she's encouraging me to explore other hairstyles, which I really appreciate. We're taking baby steps .
There are always lovely goodies at reception that are available for purchase, such as the hair food they use while they style you (in different sizes), hair treatment oil, body butter, and spray bottle.
Costing/affordability: Very affordable (even though "affordability" is relative).
Walk-ins are accepted:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Appointments are necessary:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday
The salon is closed because they rest on Mondays.
You're able to book their services for special occations.
Social Media: they're available on Instagram

4.5 hours to do basic, mid size straightback. Their craftsmanship for afro hair is still not great. I stopped going to this hair salon in 2019 and I was reminded why I stopped.

I love the new space, convenient and easy to access compared to the space upstairs. And oh they offed refreshments and a blanket whilst you wait.
