I can’t believe I’m only writing this review now but looking back at the photos, I’m still in awe! The day before Valentine’s Day, I contacted Jems in a panic! I needed something and fast Adele was amazing in helping me organize a beautiful Valentine’s day dinner box for R350pp. It was a 3 course meal that we could reheat and plate at home. I had my suspicions about how the food would taste considering it would need to be reheated and WOW! It was better than many sit down meals I’ve ever had. The box came with reheating suggestions, plating instructions and all the garnish and fancy edible toppings that made the dishes look like they came right out of a professional kitchen! Thank you again for saving the day and doing a damn fine job at it too!

3 course meal for only 4 people at our house: Seamless, professional arrangement and delivery. Portions and plating were perfect and the food was delicious. Thank you JEM catering!

UPDATE TO THE BELOW REVIEW - POST THE FUNCTION All I can say is WOW!!! The food was amazing, and met all of our expectations. The staff however were all next level superstars. The guy in charge, Gary, is absolutely fantastic. He has the exact disposition you would expect of someone who really understands service excellence. Wherever you looked, there was Gary, taking care of the finer details. If Gary had a question about something, he would discretely come up to me, lean in, and give me the info, in the most unobtrusive but effective manner. If we tried to do anything ourselves, there was Gary, reminding us that this was our event, and he would take care of it. I cannot recommend these guys enough!! ==================================================== This post was initially a one star complaint, re the lack of engagement when trying to do business with Jems. Subsequent to my review, I was promptly contacted by Riaan, who was very engaging around my experience - My interaction with him completely transformed the experience from bad to good - I commend Jems and Riaan, for caring enough to turn the experience around - clearly an indication of good business.

My wife brought home a number of menu items from a function that was catered by JEM. If I could rate JEM 6/5 stars, I would. That's because JEM's food raised the bar so much, that everyone else looks amateurish by comparison. If you need a caterer for a function, do yourself and your guests a favour - hire JEM. Because no one else is the same.
