Friendly staff, very helpful and considerate. They explained in quite a bit of detail so I went through the signing of my home loan doc’s quite painlessly. Or rather informed 🙂
Offices are set up tastefully and warm. My only suggestion would be to put up better signage on the roadside (unless I missed it). But definitely the non regulars in the area would miss the entrance on that relatively busy road.

Great chambers in the heart of Johannesburg. With all of my apprehensions about having to be so deep into the city and its busy dailies, the chambers themselves are super quiet, clean, and very well managed.

There’s a quaint cafe spot on the ground floor accompanying the library and they make great coffee with a view of the bustling city outside.

I don’t imagine a lot of people not involved in law would have much of a reason to care for advocates’ chambers, but I’ve frequented it because of my work and I was pleasantly surprised by how its layout is handled.

Parking is a massive problem, though, and one should take note to plan for it ahead or ask for it to be arranged. Parking on the streets is a major hassle.

The worst attitudes. I recently sent an email to Nadine, she is very young and naive and spoke to me with a very aggressive tone. The work ethic and regard for the person does not exist. Would not use again.

We used Schindlers to sell a property:
1. They are not always clear when they perform services and what the additional charges are. We were surprised as we only saw this once we got their final statement.

2. Rates refunds from the Municipality – municipality refunded amounts back to the attorney’s account (which Schindlers confirmed they received), but has then taken three and a half weeks (and counting) to pay back. Emails querying timelines are usually unanswered.

Worst experience using this law firm when purchasing our house. If you are working with someone called “Gina”, RUN.

She was unprofessional, incompetent and borderline incomprehensible at times. When going through the process of paying our deposit, I received the attached communications from Gina demanding payment. As the payment was a considerable amount of money and this was supposed to be a professional law firm, I expected more than WhatsApp messages in broken English from a stranger I’d never heard from before. Especially because we were advised (by Schindlers themselves, no less) that there was a high risk of fraud in the transfer process. When trying to call Schindlers, she would be “busy” and unable to come to the phone when we were trying to resolve the issue.

In addition, when coming in to sign the papers, there were multiple issues/errors in the documents that my husband and I luckily picked up before signing. There were never ending delays in our transfer. As the buyers, we had to push almost every week for an update and reasons as to why there was little to no movement in the process.

Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. I actively advise friends and family to stay away from this law firm due to their shoddy service and delivery. I hope you never have to experience what we did.

Schindlers service was absolutely poor. They don’t respond to emails. They actually made the transfer process of my house, very uneasy and disappointing.
Apart from the sellers being difficult. Schindlers made the process even worse, by wanting to pull our registration out of the deeds office and delay the transfer of our house.
Note to future home buyers: Do not take transfers attorney recommendations from your realtor.
Our realtor gave us the worst suggestion which was Schindlers.

My son was Court up in a very complex battle with the biological mother of his son which is a minor child. There was severe parent alienation and astrangement visible for 7 years from the mother’s side. The case was running in the Children’s Court for 5 years & 5 months with our former Attorneys, without the case progressing. The matter took an unexpected turn to the High Court with an Urgent Application. We were referred to DPS Attorneys on the 11th hour before appearing in the High Court. DPS Attorneys, pulled together like one man and went in like a Bulldozer. They started to work on my son’s case which was a massive thick Court File containing 5 years of information. Long hours & late nights did not scare DPS off. Within one (1) day after taking they case they already filed their aposing Affidavit and two days later they have already filed their answering Affidavit.

DPS WON our case WITH cost to be paid by the opponent. (Which is very rare to get granted by the courts). The best interest of the minor child was DPS’s priority throughout this matter but it was also important to them to win the case for their client (in this case my son).

All I can say…. is that if you have any legal battle ……..DPS Attorneys is were you should go if you seek the best representation in your case.

I have never come across such fired up Attorneys. They will fight for you & they mean BUSINESS with their opponent! They are Extremely knowledgeable about the law and highly Professional.
