Having a rewards card is an added bonus. Staff are super efficient and friendly and deal well with the long queues. Movie house is always clean. Social distancing seating. I’d recommend the epic combo for couples good value for money.

I went to the movies here on Saturday and I never got my popcorn as they said that they are still popping it and that just before the movie somebody will bring it to me I waited till the end of the movie. I still do not have my popcorn 1 star 0 if I could.

There are two issues
The lense is out of focus leading to blurry movies and the sound is just awful it feels like the movie is muffled

I had a great experience. Staff was helpful and attentive when needed. Seats in Theater (1) are spacious leather recliners. Theater cleaning could improve (salt in armrest and carpet), but maybe just an oversight for a new blockbuster release film. Previews were 15 minutes.

They have food (burgers, chicken, wraps, pizza, etc.) and 2 popcorn combos. Combo #2 costs R110 for 1 medium popcorn, 1 drink, and gummy candy or chocolate. Order food at station in back. Can order popcorn there as well. Only thing missing was napkins.

None of the card machines work when picking up tickets. During all the trailers they leave the lights on so ypu can barely see the screen … there are much better cinemas than this … for “hyde park” one would expect better

Loved this cinema. The 2D cinema has reclining chairs to relax while watching the movie and having snacks. I was just annoyed by the young man selling the Clientele Insurance guised through offering 2 free movie tickets. I suppose he was doing his job but he was a bit much

Loves the vibe and all. The 4D experience i can now tick off my list. The effects were great except for the constant shaking. It was so bad my popcorn was all over the place. We had more laughs about that and i had to rewatch the movie. Had a great day and the staff was so pleasant.

Watching movies at this cinema is always good experience for me when I visit Jhb from cape town . The staff so friendly and helpful besides one who was serving snacks named Nthabiseng Hlatswayo or something who was giving my partner and I an attitude and asking us to look ourselves when we asked about the flavours and salts, definitely need more training but otherwise good overall experience, Definitelyeltey will visit again soon.

Enjoyable experience, although it wasn’t wow. It took an awful while for the movie to commence. What made me yawn the most was that once the movie FINALLY began, the staff forgot to dim the lights for a good 15 minutes, and had to be reminded of their duties. Attendants were nowhere to be found.

Great place to watch movies with incredibley friendly staff. Place is kept clean and extremely easy to navigate. The should be 4 stars however the Popcorn bags is only half filled and now offered in brown paper bags. The price of Astros or anytgung sweet is R20 over priced. All for paying for stuff just not a fan of being over charged.

Saturday 08 January.
I checked Cine Centre website and thety were advertising a 14.00 show of Mufasa. I went to the cinema. Ouside on the digital board they were advertising the same screening. I proceeded to the Popcorn counter only to be told that the manager has instructed them not to sell tickets for the 14.00 show. Hell, if you not going to honour advertised times , why waste peoples time. I wasted my time going to your cinema. Terribly unprofessional service

Staff at the popcorn counter were actually rather rude. I don’t see why two people needed to take my small order. It created unnecessary confusion and attitude from one of the staff members. It was not busy. There was no rush.

It was a service worth 5 ⭐! The shop attendants were attentive and super helpful. Moncha/Moncho the male assistant made the experience better as well as the two female shop assistants (11 Jan 2025). The cinema smelt good, and it had a top tier ventilation system, and it was clean too. As soon as the movie was concluded the cleaners rushed in to clean for the next showtime ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

What a lekker experience.
Like the old days. A nice small movie house (47 seats)
The seats are car seats, albeit not brand new, but with loads of character and made us feel like the old Drive-in days.
Big tubs of popcorn and you can even order a meal to take into the movies with you.
Latest Movies were only R100.(12 Jan 2025)
Staff are really on the ball, friendly, informative.
Will definitely be going back there.

We were invited to a private screening of the SISONKE project at the cinema. The cinema is so retro and has the most beautiful memorabilia throughout. It is liking stepping back in time to an era when going to view a movie was a special treat. We were offered light snacks, drinks and popcorn. It was a lovely evening and I am going to return to visit the surrounding stores during the day. This place is a frozen moment in time and I love it!!!

Quaint and quirky – loved it!
I was about to book tickets for the Bob Dylan movie at one of the tried and tested places when I saw that it was showing at the Bioscope. Having wanted to try out the Bioscope for a while we decided to go there. So glad we did! It is the kind of quaint and quirky places that we like. But so much more! From the warm welcome, the relaxed atmosphere, the interesting decor, the comfy seats with so much legroom and the friendly banter among the moviegoers (my Rodriguez t-shirt attracted some attention) to the delicious food and seriously good coffee it was a most enjoyable evening! And great value for money too!
And the movie was excellent!
