Planet Fitness - Just Gym - Newtown

The gym is great, always clean and tidy; never to full most of the time and it has lots of equipment. They need to fix the geyser system thought, hot water cuts off regularly.

I have been to a couple of gyms in my lifetime, some decent and some really good, but this one is the worst. Half the treadmills don't work, there's no space in the weights area because they have crammed everything in one place. The most disappointing thing is the showers. Showering is such a bad experience due to the shower heads being non existent, so it's basically a pipe. The drainage system does not work. The bathrooms are never clean... some people have had items stolen out of locked compartments. When you try to cancel, they want to overcharge you, so you're basically trapped in a forever contract. Don't join this gym.

I signed a 12 month contract in January 2024 and even double checked last year and they said my contract will finish in January 2025. Now I am getting SMS to say that they are handing me over for not paying since Feb - disgusting. They are running that Newtown branch like a shit show

I was a member when this club first opened, and it was great. I moved from the area and went to under gyms and then came back to the gym last year. I must say standards have dropped as the aircon never works, which is something I could put up with. However, not having hot water to shower on a regular basis is something I can not understand. I have complained, and it seems they are taking their own precious time to fix the problem. I am billed my gym fees every month on time, but the service does not meet acceptable standards. People are resorting to using buckets to refresh themselves after a workout. If you fancy the bucket system experience, come to Just gym Planet Fitness for this out of this world experience.

The staff is friendly. The lockers are clean and the place is well equipped. The place has a really chilled and friendly atmosphere and as an absolute beginners to the gym I didn't feel an overwhelming sense of gym anxiety hear. It's a really welcoming gym.
