Rossouws Attorneys

I'm not impressed with this firm. I am owing on my credit card which was handed over, however, I made an agreement in July 2024 with Rossouws to pay R100 every month. Which I have honoured every month since. Today I get a WhatsApp from some Nonhlanhla person to say that I need to urgently settle my account as it remains unpaid, which is nonsense, she cannot do this an arrangement is in place and that's that. She also said the require 10% which is R360.,or lowest amount R150.00. I send my proof of payment every month so that hopefully the person responsible can allocate my payments correctly. I have also wondered if this woman is even associated with your company or just wanting to make a quick buck. Bottom line is an arrangement is in place. I've honoured every month, so nobody can now suddenly come and make these demands. If I could give you a zero review I would because a 1 is too generous. I have also received sms's saying I haven't paid when I have and send proof of payment. Maybe a lesson on reading emails would help your staff.

If there was a zero I would give it. The most unprofessional attorneys I have ever dealt with. I have worked with a lot of attorneys on transfers and Rossouws Attorneys - specifically, Elaine displayed the most unprofessionalism. The way they responded and dealt with purchasers and agents left a bitter taste in my mouth. From typing rude email messages to purchasers and agents, or not responding at all. As I look at their responses to previous complaints - and I am sure this one, there is always a deflection from the actual issue. Elaine told me how busy she was with other important matters to assist on numerous occasions on call, hung up on me and did not respond or acknowledge my emails - which required me to follow up on calls constantly. She advised she didn't know I was the agent - even though my details were on the offer to purchase so I was not included in emails until the end of the deal - even after requesting this. Requesting proof of commission payments was a big issue to the point I was told to call at midnight for this (after 48 hours) - some form of sarcasm which I understood as rude and frankly unprofessional. I could list all the issues on here but this would make this review way too long. Do yourself a favour as a seller and go with other attorneys who value your business and behave professionally. Client interaction and customer service is desperately lacking.

The communication from Roussows regarding their work with FNB was conducted in such a way that I was very convinced that their efforts to collect outstanding moneys was a scam. However after confirming the legitimacy with FNB I figured out that this company does infact collect on behalf of FNB. Perhaps explore ways in which you can prove your legitimacy more clearly in the collection process. Some of the reasons I thought this was a scam, 1) FNB never tried to collect the money from me themselves. If they did, it wasn't very clear. 2) Communication from Rossouws is very casual, i.e. whatsapp, informally structured messaged, low quality whatsapp profile picture, etc. 3) I couldn't find anything online for Rossouws or FNB that suggested that Roussows works for/with FNB. I am glad that I took the initiative to call FNB and confirm legitimacy of Roussows because I was very close to ignoring all communications from Rossouws.

While in the process of dealing with Rossouws Attorneys I have felt disrespected! I was accused and made to feel stupid during the process of using there services. I would highly recommend that you do NOT use Rossouws Attorneys for the transfer of property!
