I truly enjoyed Mike’s heritage house.
At first I was disappointed by the fact that they don’t serve any Italian food like pasta, pizza and therefore I settled for their Sirloin Steak and it was the best steak I ever tasted, truly enjoyed every bite of it and the veggies were to die for.
The service was very efficient from our waitress and I loved the outdoor atmosphere.
We finished our day with slap chips and let me tell you this place is called heritage for a reason, they cook everything like they founded those meals therefore making these meals their heritage site to visit
I definitely recommend Mike’s heritage.

I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Mike’s Kitchen Heritage House numerous times over the years, and it’s always been a treat. The outdoor area is lovely, and the menu selection is diverse and appealing.
However, my most recent visit in late December 2024 was somewhat disappointing. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, as me went after the lunch crowd. The service was slower than usual. My steak was also not prepared as I had requested. I want to emphasise that this experience won’t deter me from returning, as I understand that off-days can happen to anyone.
I’m sharing this in the spirit of constructive feedback, hoping that it will help Mike’s Kitchen Heritage House continue to improve and provide the excellent experience that I’ve come to expect.

Had a lovely lunch with my husband. Food was delicious rib eye for me and eishbein for my husband delicious wine to enjoy. Beautiful gardens, friendly staff and even a cat so cute that is staying there and come and say hello.

It gets very busy. As an introvert, I found it a bit too overwhelming and was confused about where to to go.
I did, however, get to taste the BEST Cafe Latte on earth they use macadamia nut milk at no extra charge. The chocolate cake is also very rich

Visiting Marble on my last day in Joburg was the icing on the cake of my entire trip… the restaurant has such a lovely and upscale vibe. From the reception to seating to the meals, it was just surreal… the waiters were very helpful and were always on hand to assist. The meal was great, I especially enjoyed the cobb salad and the sirloin with mashed potatoes… the mood was very chill and my colleagues and I really enjoyed our time there. The only suggestion (not sure how it can be done) would be having an alternative way of getting up to the restaurant since the elevator was not that big so for a big party (like mine), it took about 3 trips to get upstairs but in all it was a great experience and I would definitely try it again

Not a place i would ever usually visit. Unless a very generous person (in this case, my sister-in-law) is picking up the tab. When I saw the prices, I was not expecting them to match the product, but I have to say the food was spectacular. And I can understand why it was packed.

Beautiful spot. The food was good but could have been better, I had the duck dish, it was a bit too salty and dry. I unfortunately didn’t enjoy it. My dessert did however, make up for the not so great main. I tried the pavlova and it was delicious. The service was good and our waiter was attentive and polite. The restaurant itself is stunning, moved over to the bar area after our meal and it was a lovely chill spot to enjoy our afternoon. I would definitely go back and try a different main meal. Overall a pleasant experience.

Definitely some of the vest steaks in GP.
The Grillhouse in Rosebank was voted the best steakhouse in Johannesburg.
The fillet literally melts in your mouth. We are BIG on good steaks so we can confidently confirm that they deserve the number 1 spot.
He had a 300g pepper crusted fillet and I had a 200g basted fillet. I definitely recommend the basted fillet. You will not be disappointed.
All the sauces were amazing, we had mushroom, creamy garlic and peri peri.
The desserts however, in my opinion were very average. We had a brownie and chocolate mousse

After a rubbish flight and a long, stressful day this was the perfect place to refuel and breathe. The service was very attentive and the atmosphere was warm and inviting – music at a very moderate level which was perfect for our tired team. The food was excellent everything you’d expect from a Grillhouse and more. The complimentary bread was delicious and warm, and crème brûlée I finished off with had the perfect crack on the slightly bitter caramel thst complimented the rich, creamy custard perfectly! Would definitely visit again.

For the past 20 years we are having a Christmas party lunch at the Schwarma Co. I have ordered 500g of Skinny Lamp Chop and some of their famous hummus to share. It has become a tradition for us to gather around the long table and enjoy each other’s company while indulging in delicious food. We exchange gifts, share stories from the past year, and make plans for the upcoming one. The atmosphere is always festive and filled with laughter and joy. Five stars for “salvation” in the temple of consumerism! The Salvation Café is the perfect oasis for exhausted shoppers. Very nice location, fresh ingredients, delicious pancakes, good coffee, friendly staff and sunshine on top of that – what more could you want? The “Salvation Breakfast” is truly redeeming. A little tip: after enjoying the fluffy pancakes, stroke your belly. It feels good

I personally had the Breakfast Nachos, and the kitchen had one thing to get right on my plate. Hot scrambled eggs! They were ice cold. It was incredibly disappointing.
The hot chocolate was decadent. Their milk alternative brand is Milk Lab = WIN.
The service was rather average. Coffees and hot chocolate’s arrived hot, but no check-in after the food was delivered.
The brownie was not served warm and I just don’t understand that. If it was warm it would probably have been the perfect ooey-gooey consistency.
The cheesecake was good, it didn’t even need the berries on the side. The carrot pineapple slice was dense, moist and a generous portion.
When an establishment has a decent rating, you generally have certain expectations and this visit was a let down.

I tried one of their burgers for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious! The portions were generous, and that meal has stayed on my mind ever since and I can’t wait to go back. However, if you’re visiting Tashas in Rosebank, I’d recommend sitting indoors. The outdoor seating has a bit of a fly issue, which can be uncomfortable. In my case, a bee even landed in my pina colada. Despite this, the overall experience was still great, and the food remains top-notch!
