As a country, the people are so nice. But this Four Seasons, has the best of the best, exceptional sweet and amazing and quite interesting staff. Rooms are slightly dated but very nice. Breakfast and dinner at Flames was phenomenal!!!

I stayed with my family at the Westcliff on 3 separate occasions during the month of January. Our experience was memorable, in large part due to the wonderful service provided by every single staff member of the Hotel. From the concierge, to the valet, chef, drivers and front desk, every single professional greeted us with a smile and genuine attention.||I have been to 4 Seasons hotels pretty much everywhere: Lisbon to Ubud, Jakarta to Beverly Hills, Buenos Aires to NYC and so on – this level of attention ranks with the vv best. ||Nothing was too much – going out to a store to buy Fizzers for my daughter to take home as a gift to her South African teacher, storing medication in a freezer, the pastry chef providing a recipe for the awesome blueberry tart – nothing. All this with impeccable professionalism, in a hotel setting that is truly 5-star.||Congratulations all the staff: Benjamin, Modi, Papi, Silas and many many others! Today we came for breakfast to celebrate a very special birthday. Thembi Ncube served us and she was absolutely fabulous! Would definitely recommend this place over and over – the care, love, consideration, immaculate service and consideration for our 9month old has made me a frequent visitor! My favourite place❤️❤️

We went there for a special event, and loved every moment. From parking to being seated. The food was so great! We tried the new menu and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The place is just great. You are guaranteed maximum comfort both in the rooms and workshop venues. The staff are friendly and make you feel at home. Although the breakfast is great you can enjoy it for the first 2 days and from there it becomes boring because of limited options. I am not a chef but I feel that they need to diversify the breakfast menu with local dishes.

The Hyatt is a very nice hotel. The rooms are very big and also the bathroom is very spacious. You have a great bar, you can sit outside and enjoy some good food and drinks. Staff is very friendly but also a little bit slow…. Never the less we spend a great time there.

Great stay. Breakfast is wonderful, I had to pay extra for it, but it was still good. The juices are fresh and the service was wonderful. The hotel can pick you up and drop you off from the airport. You will have a better price with the hotel. The room was lovely.

Room little bit dated but the service was excellent. Location is very ease and close by everything. The room was spacious and clean. Check in was well organized and very friendly. There is a mall short by to visit and have a nice South African shopping experience.

Great location in Rosebank right attached to the mall, very polite and attentive staff for both the hotel and conference facilities. Breakfast was incredible with a wide array of fresh fruits, international and local meats, and eggs made to order. Room was very clean and bed quite comfortable. Only negative feedback is some areas of room and hotel, i.e bathroom fixtures could be better maintained to truly be a 5 star hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Saxon Hotel for 3 days; courtesy of my lovely partner. Our room, number 205, was truly lavish and beautiful. The attention to detail and the luxurious amenities made our stay feel extra special.

One of the highlights of our stay was the complimentary bar, which was a lovely surprise. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful – from the vallet service to the bag carriers.

However, there were a couple of drawbacks to our stay. Our villa, while stunning, had a major design flaw – when we opened the curtains, we were faced with people seated right outside our window. It felt like we were on display, and it was quite uncomfortable.

The couch in our villa looked like they could do with an update. They appeared old and worn, which detracted from the overall luxurious feel of the room.

I would still recommend the Saxon Hotel for its exceptional service and luxurious amenities. However, I hope that the hotel will take our feedback on board and make some adjustments to improve the overall experience.

The Saxon has polish and high design without feeling pretentious. We loved the use of elegant African decor pieces. Our room was a generous size, beautifully clean and designed with convenience in mind. We loved our separate bathroom vanities, and the ability to step outside our patio doors to an elegant, uncrowded pool. The service was also first rate.

We spent a couple nights at the hotel before returning home to the US. During the stay, the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout. We also had a medical event which required emergency care and the team was extraordinary, helping us navigate a very difficult situation with ease and grace. We cannot recommend the Saxon highly enough and are grateful for the team of fantastic employees. We hope to visit again sometime in the future.

From the minute of our late arrival to this beautiful hotel, every single staff person was so incredibly helpful and kind to us. From taking our bag, getting us water, to providing us the best service at the bar ever (shout out to Lindo for his hospitality and warm company), we absolutely enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. It was very conveniently located as well and their restaurant was great too.

I have been staying in the hotel from the 3rd of March till the 7th of March 2025. All i can say is that the personel working there had no respect for colored skin people. They were rude in the restaurant. I was asked to “go put some pants and come back” because the restaurant had a formal dress code. The very next day there was another woman eating in the hotel with a very small short on. I felt it was very raciste from the side of the people working in the restaurant. If you asked them question they get angry and bang my plate. And there is literally no communication ethics. Its the first time i felt being target to racism in South Africa but it is here. It was the worst experience in my life. The only good about the hotel was the head of security who has been very nice. The rest were just mean. If you not white please do not go the level four restaurant or the hotel 54 on Bath.

The room was lovely and well-appointed. The shower was a bit small, but the amazing bed and thoughtful little details, like snacks, made it feel special.

Unfortunately, the restaurant completely ruined our much-anticipated birthday/date night. The disappointing dining experience overshadowed what could have been a perfect stay. We left feeling let down and won’t be returning.

A luxury boutique stay within walking distance of some superb places to eat. Ajoining the Rosebank Mall for some easy shopping – both high end & touristy – 54 on Bath is a lovely spot to stay. The staff are welcoming and the rooms well appointed. The 4th floor terrace with garden & pool is breathtaking.

We booked a message with my husband for yesterday 28/2/2025 at 5:30 p.m. It was a gift from our daughter for Christmas. The spa closes at 8 p.m., We arrived at 5:15 p.m. We still had to fill out a document for my husband, I had already sent the 3 completed documents by email. We wasted time and started our massage at 5:37 p.m. The one hour massage was pleasant. Then my husband left the room. I stayed for an additional facial massage. The pleasant massage ended at 7 p.m. We still lost more than 10 minutes. We wanted to go to the pool but all the lights were off, not very pleasant. I wanted to drink a glass of lemon water. There was no more glass and lemon water. Disappointed once again. I do not recommend this spa. Maybe you would offer me a discount for the disappointment.

I had the absolute best half day here. Veronica is brilliant, best massage ever. From the waitress to the security guard- everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and beautifully presented.

The Mommy-Daughter date I had planned was an absolute pleasure – thanks to the Aronia Day Spa team! We were booked in for a Swedish massage. The place is beautful, clean and calming. The staff was friendly and helpful; and the massage was just heavenly – my daughter also agreed. I will definitley be going back to enjoy more of their services.

The hotel is in the upscale Houghton area but I still wouldn’t feel safe walking around it! |We spent a night in the hotel before flying back to the UK. The hotel’s car picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and the driver efficiently sorted out where to meet our handler. Very impressed with the service.|The hotel has a sizable footprint set in lovely gardens with two swimming pools and other pools with fish and running water. Very relaxing.|We had a suite in the annex which came with its own hot tub and terrace. The suite was spacious and comfortable. The décor is colonial with an eclectic twist, sometime it worked but other times it looked a bit tacky!|We enjoyed a pre dinner drink in the well stocked bar and chose local cuisine for our meal which made a nice change and was good to try something more traditional. The price of food is on the steep side compared to where else we stayed.|There was a good choice for breakfast with a cold buffet and hot food to order. |The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only issue was with the safe which malfunctioned but they lent us a key so we could leave our valuables there.|An oasis ideal for a night or two to chill out.

An eclectic hotel with a vintage vibe. Initially, I felt as if I was inside of a plantation especially with the artwork. Nestled in a corner was a painting of Mandela. The outdoor areas are beautiful and tranquil. Our rooms were clean, but the bed was not comfortable. The dining experience varied, some nights it was a 5 star experience other nights the food was filled with oil. The only thing that bothered me was seeing the same servers for breakfast at 7 am and at dinner. One waiter walked into a glass wall, I think from fatigue. I hope the staff is being compensated for overtime. Please tip them. Also, I didn’t like that there was no iron in my room. Although I requested my clothes be ironed, they were still wrinkled once brought back. Overall I recommend

My wife and I had the privilege of spending two nights at the Residence Hotel in Jo’burg. Great stay the rooms are unique, comfortable and quiet. The food and hospitality are amazing, and you can’t go wrong with w stay here if you’re in Jo’burg.

This is a clean and decent hotel that appeared to be set in a neighborhood. No bugs so that was appreciated but the rooms could stand an upgrade. A bar/restaurant is attached but if you sleep early skip this venue. The music goes on until 12 midnight. Staff was friendly and helpful. The shower was too close to the wall for comfort when bathing. Not a lot of room or plugs for electronic devices. Load balancing affected some nights as the electricity would be off.

Great stay, newly refubished rooms and bathrooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The parking on the street was safe and covered by the hotels CCTV. The car guard was helpful. You can walk to the restaurants and cafes, it is a safe and friendly area. It was quiet at night.

I enJOYed my 5-day stay at Ascot. The rooms are quite spacious and the staff very attentive. Watch the hot water because it is HOT. The daytime ‘security’ was very gracious and made sure that my stay was pleasant. There are tons of places to eat nearby and a mall that I consider within walking distance. There’s a bigger mall that you can Uber to in about 15min. Live music on Fridays is a plus. The bar area is great for relaxing and getting work done. Only downside was that the safe wasn’t operable, but the place is secure and I knew my things would be safe. The folks at the tire garage play their music pretty loud in the afternoons, so a nap might be tricky. It was quiet at night.

Living in ghana I knew about power outage, but the hotel should have a generator it does not,power goes out any time and will stay out for hours.the pictures on the site show beautiful cozy suites, that’s a joke,the rooms are like old time 1980 version. The lounge chair legs just fell off anything we put on it was light. If you from the states please bring wash clothes african don’t use them,but still it a hotel. I assume they are working on the remodel cause the stairs carpet and wall are full of Water. Never ever again..I can say you are surrounded by lots of store,restaurants and shops.

No issue with staff and service and also restaurants food is amazing however the room with two single beds are extremely unstable and the bathroom sprayer hardly has pressure. Not a happy chap and I still have 2 more nites to spend I asked for a change of room will see what they come up with.

I needed a hotel which could host a group of 22 people and Lilian Lofts went above and beyond to accommodate us and to make our stay enjoyable.

The hotel has such a calm, beautiful atmosphere, from when you walk in at reception until you settle in your room. Most of the rooms we booked were like little apartments and had everything we needed from a small kitchen, to a living room area where our staff could prepare for the following day’s work.

The staff were friendly and very helpful in making sure our needs were met and went the extra mile when we requested an earlier breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay at Lilian lofts.

Additional safe parking would be great as this was a stress point for most of our guests but thank you for making a plan to keep our extra vehicles safe.

I would definitely recommend Lilian Lofts to anyone who needs to be near the JHB CBD area.

The Parkwood is a wonderful boutique hotel. JP is a wonderful host and the property is well kept and very cozy. Would happily stay here again! The breakfast is also delicious!

We stayed at the Parkwood for one night before taking off on Rovos Rails and both felt that one night was a disservice to this lovely, welcoming guest house. The rooms were impeccable – with radiant heating in the floor, outstanding water pressure, soft linens and a glass of sherry waiting on arrival. ||JP helped us to make dinner reservations at Proud Mary (a must go) and assisted us with drivers to and from the airport. The breakfast was delicious. I even ordered from Uber Eats and lounged in a garden with my lunch. I hope I can return again and stay a few nights to fully soak in the relaxation and vibes.

My father and I spent a few days here and the accommodation and service was exceptional. Jean Paul, the hotel manager was so accommodating and catered to our every need and request. He is so wonderful and truly appreciated us being there our entire stay. Marcus the security guard made us feel so safe and he was so informative about certain places we were interested in that were within walking distance nearby. Marcus and Wilson were the best and made us feel so safe. Next time we visit Johannesburg, my father and I will stay at this place again.
