I cannot recommend Nicole Levy highly enough! I’ve been here a couple of times, and every visit has been exceptional. Nicole is incredibly thorough and takes her time to ensure everything is perfect. What truly touched me was her thoughtful gesture of upgrading my lenses as a wedding gift when she found out I was getting married soon – such a personal and generous act! Her receptionist is also amazing – warm, friendly, and always professional, making each visit a pleasure. This is a lovely boutique optom, with secure offices. However the service is pathetic! My first experience was that they make minimal communication regarding my specs. I have had to constantly follow up. The wait time is long, why have the option of an appointment , when you cannot adhere to this. I have waited 45 minutes after my scheduled time. As of recent, I have tried to order my contact lenses with them, and whats the purpose having a whatsapp line, requesting I share my medical aid details there, if you do not respond to your customers. I went to lengths of trying to contact the other branch and email to advise nobody answered messages or phone calls to the number on google. Change the details and add your landline. When Thelma is overwhelmed, someone else should be assisting. It isn’t only about aesthetics and your upper end location, you need to be mindful of customer etiquette.

I had the World’s worst Optometrist. Extremely bad service. Works from 10 am to 4pm only. He tested me and said I can’t see with glasses. And I can’t see without glasses. So am I blind. This was for a drivers test
He put 4 crosses on my certificate. Yet charged me.
Why give a certificate if I failed. His an excuse to be there. Or his racist.. extremely unhappy..I want my money back.i will never ever recommend him.Disgusting to say the least.

Edit, four months later: got hit in the face by a puppy and unfortunately a screw came off my glasses. Thankfully my glasses were under warranty, had a quick visit to Vision Works and they were able to accommodate me efficiently and well. Very happy!

Iv been a Specsavers client for 16 years however the service iv recieved at Rosebank branch is appalling, it’s horrendous to say the least and shocking at its best — i came in to make an inquiry mid January as i broke my glasses & needed a new pair asap — iv set an appointment atleast 5 times and its February now and each time im met with an attitude or one reason or the other as to why i cannot get assisted ,firstly the commute to the store is both my time and money and im treated as a non factor as a paying client ,from reception, Veronica acted as though i was a nuisance to a point she couldn’t even answer a simple question of what time slot url had available and speaking loudly until the other patrons shook their heads in dismay.. to me being late to my appointment of which I communicated and was sent away … despite the bullshit i still rescheduled TODAY I ARRIVED AT 13,04 for my 13:00 appointment i stood and waited damn near 10 mins to only be informed i cannot be assisted as i was meant to arrive 10 mins before which in all the other 4 appointments iv made i was never told so — i was told they cannot help me as its already 10 mins later and the 13:30 booking confirmed and ild run into that booking ….IM absolutely livid and have opted to switch to Torga which took me in after url casted me out like a stray dog ….. THE EXPERIENCE IV HAD DEALING WITH THE ROSEBANK BRANCH IS SOMETHING I DONT WISH ON MY WORST ENEMY.

I took my daughter as I was referred by another optometrist.She has keratoconnus.Extremely disappointed with the service from Sean himself.
My daughter was given scleral lenses,the trial lenses were perfect.Once they added the prescription the lenses kept hurting her eyes.
He took it in twice for adjustments but still no joy.
The lenses hurt so bad that her eyes became sore and she needed to go for treatment as the pain was so intense.
So as I write this post it has been a few months now since we.went back to Sean who was going to relook at the lenses but he has done nothing.
There is nothing wrong with the way she inserts them etc.I got a second opinion and was told that the lens are probably tight.
From my personal experience I wouldn’t advise anyone with this condition to go to them.
They’re quick to take your money but don’t bother when you have problems.

I am so appalled by the poor lack of communication from this store, the consultants and the Manager included, that I will not even contrribute any stars to them. I confirmed and placed my order on 1st Feb using my current frame. My eye test was very detailed regarding the specifications of lens I required due to eye surgery. The consultant Natasha never mentioned that this would be an order from overseas!!! I explained to her not only do I require them for reading, working on the computer and watching TV, I also require them for night driving. She mentioned she will prioritize my order as I had no spare lens. On 5th Feb I tracked my order via the WhatsApp message sent, and it stated currently being processed. I called the store to enquire on my order. The store manager Raschika took my call and stated she will follow up. I called again on 7th Feb and spoke to Moira. Moira called me back to say that the order was still being processed. I asked for the manager to call me. No call was received. On 9th Feb I called the store and asked for the manager. I spoke to Raschika and she then informed me that my lens was ordered from overseas!!!! This was never communicated to me!! Today, 10th Feb, 10 days after placing my order, I received a call from Raschika informing me that there is no ETA on my order. I asked them to credit me as this has been paid via my medical aid and return my frame, only to be informed that my frame was also sent overseas!!!!! This was never communicated to me and my order has not yet arrived in the country!!!!. The store was too quick to send a security measure for themselves stating they will not be responsible for any damage to my frame, but where was my notification that my frame was sent overseas??? I could have taken my order to another service provider. I have suffered severe multiple migraine headaches due to the strain on my eyes trying to use a pair of reading glasses!!! No ETA can be provided to me as to when my lens and frame will be arriving!!! So frustrating!!!

Thank you for the exceptional service. I was assisted by Kayla and Karla, who were happy to take the time to explain things properly and assist even when the shop suddenly gets very busy.

The equipment and tests provide more elaborate results than most other facilities and my lenses were organized very swiftly.

Overall, I recommend this store over all others I’ve tried as you will walk away feeling taken care of, and not just checked off a list.
